I want to share something we have been working on for quite some time.
Over the past several months, the LOGIQUE team conducted in-depth field research across the global used car market: from auction systems in Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, to vehicle distribution routes stretching from the United States through to Central Asia. What we found on the ground was striking, not because the problem was new, but because of how large this market is and how long the same problems have been left unaddressed.
The global used car market reached USD 1.9 trillion in 2025, surpassing the GDP of most countries in the world. Yet in almost every corner of it, vehicle inspection is still carried out the same way: an inspector, a sheet of paper, a pen, and subjective judgment. Even in Japan, which operates the most sophisticated auction system in the world, inspectors still write their assessments on paper forms that are scanned and uploaded manually.
This is not a criticism of the industry. It is a reality we need to face together.

The momentum to publish this report came from the convergence of four technologies that have now matured simultaneously: computer vision, which has reached 95 to 99 percent accuracy; edge computing, which allows inspections to run fully offline in the field; sensor fusion, which integrates cameras with paint thickness gauges and OBD-II scanners; and generative AI, which can transform a single inspection record into a report compliant with any market standard in any language.
For the first time, it is technically possible to build an inspection system that is faster than paper forms, more accurate than human inspectors, runs on a standard smartphone, operates offline, and produces standardized data usable across borders.
The question is no longer whether this is possible. The question is who will build it right.
