Q: First of all, can you inform us as to the origins and purposes of YKK AP Indonesia, specifically pertaining to when it entered the Indonesian market?
A: YKK AP Indonesia was established in 1986 (At the time company name was YKK Alumico) as a part of YKK Group, to meet the needs of the Indonesian people through quality products.
Q: There are a wide variety of window manufacturers operating out of Indonesia, but YKK AP Indonesia is a top competitor; therefore, what advantages does YKK AP Indonesia have over other similar companies?
A: Our advantage is that we have an integrated production process start from research and development until technical services. YKK AP Indonesia conducts research and develop products in house to meet Indonesian window market needs, and only YKK AP can conduct performance test properly and independently in Indonesia so far. Therefore, our products have been highly evaluated in terms of quality.
Q: Currently, there exists a wide variety of window-types being retailed by YKK AP Indonesia. What are some of the more superior products ordered by consumers? And further, please go on to explain why the product happens to be popular.
A: When it comes to product series, our highest brand NEXSTA is the most sold product. It is a finished good product with high performances, and that’s the reason to be evaluated by customers. Newly launched MADELA is also becoming our main brand. With its complete online system order and knock down delivery, we succeeded to make it relatively reasonable price while the quality is sufficient and passes our test with strict standard.
For the window types, Sliding windows, Top Hung windows and Fix windows are the most sold products.
Q: What is your opinion regarding the development of Indonesian Aluminum Window & Door Manufacturing during this current era of ever changing & fast paced technological development?
A: Currently, standards for water tightness and sound insulation have not been established in Indonesia, but we believe that in the future, products such as windows and doors will require higher performance as much as reasonable prices. In addition, as the number of middle-class customers increases, we anticipate and expect that over time the value of finished products will come to be recognized over bar windows.
Q: What do you think about the importance of leveraging digital media with regards to YKK APIndonesia?
A: Nowadays people are becoming more and more familiar with web content and social media in general, so it is natural and important for us to try to improve our brand awareness and interact with people by using digital media. Especially in Indonesia, we have customers in various cities in different islands. Digital media become more effective to convey something and interact with people in distant.
